Nicolas' political advocacy led him to meet Simon Lefranc in 2015, and they have been working together ever since. Prior to his involvement with Canadian Laurentia, he worked and managed an influential pro-natural resource development focus group based in Canada for several years. Gagnon studied political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal and economics at the Université de Montréal.

Additionally, he serves as a spokesperson and communication director for the Canadian Taxpayer Federation, one of the most influential advocacy organizations in Canada.

At Canadian Laurentia, Nicolas oversees networking strategies, marketing operations, and investor relationships.
